The New Testament Bible Testifies Islamic Monotheism (Tauheed) and belief in Christ

In the Name of Allah Most Merciful Most Beneficent
Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon the Prophet Muhammad, his Noble Family and Companions

All religious books came to teach you to say: "la ilaha illa ALLAH"- There is no Deity Except Allah (the Unborn Unseen and Immortal Almighty).

"Allah" is the Majesty Name of "ilaah" (God).  The Only Name of God that all nations and tribes call upon this name to worship Him through the Final Revelation and Guidance (Quran) of the  Covenant of Peace (Islam).

God is One God, One Deity and One Person. Islam reject the claim that God is One God as well as three deities and three persons!. No Prophets teaching such an ideology!. Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) nor the authors of New Testament reaching such an ideology! . It is coming from new teachers (Matthew 23:8-10)  who came centuries after Christ and his disciples (Peace and blessings be upon them all). And there is no legitimacy to such new teachings in the spirit of Christ as quoted from Matthew 23:8-10 as well as Matthew 28:20

Below are the verses from the New Testament Bible which testifies Islamic Monotheism (Tauheed):

  • Mark 12:29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

  • John 17:3 And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
  • John 20:17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
  • Acts 14:15 “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men, of like nature with you, and we bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.
  • James 2:19 You believe that God is one. Good for you! Even the demons believe that--and shudder.
  • 1 Corinthians 8:6 But for us, There is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live.
  • 1 Timothy 1:17 NLT All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.
  • 1 Timothy 6:16 He alone is immortal and dwells in unapproachable light. No one has ever seen Him, nor can anyone see Him. To Him be honour and eternal dominion! Amen.
  • Revelation 14:7 He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgement has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water."

THE VERSES IN THE BIBLE WHICH SAYS JESUS IS GOD OR SON OF GOD IS TAKEN OUT OF THE CONTEXT:

Below are the versed Christian scholarship quote to say Jesus was worshipped as deity!
In Luke 24:52, Matthew 28:17 , Matthew 28:9 , Matthew 2:11, John 9:38, Matthew 8:2, Mark 5:6, Matthew 15:25,Matthew 14:33 Matthew 9:18
Even his enemies worshipped in mocking Mark 15:19

However I have explained with clear context and evidences that this are not "Ritual deity worship" rather it is only a reverence given to a prophet or high priest!

Because:
1- Every Christian scholar and preacher who believe Jesus is God , also agree that the deity of Jesus was not revealed before he is glorified after resurrection!
So it is very illogical and injustice to own conscience to quote this verses to say Jesus was worshipped as God/Deity

2- There is no ritual glorification or recitation of scriptures used in this worships. No fragrance was offered to Jesus . Only offering of such was made by Magi and who did not come to see God of Israel And even then his mother to whom holy spirit and angel spoke did not worship him, nor his relatives!
This prove that the worship later on Jesus received was not ritual worship!

3- This worship did not continue throughout the days or weeks or months during the life of Christ on the earth nor after his ascension!

4- Jesus Christ described that Only God is the Father (John 17:3) and the apostles said the only true God is Invisible God Who never dies (1 Timothy 1:17) So it could be impossible that they saw Jesus as the Almighty God . Rather as God according to Psalm 82:6-7 and John 10:34-35

5- Jesus Christ also declared True worshippers will worship the Father (John 4:23-24) hence the worship here is not true worship (Deity Ritual worship) but general worship of holy person, as such worship /reverence still exist in all religions. Which does not involve glorification given to God recited from the scriptures.

We see numerous such worship in Old Testament Such as the one in Daniel 2:46 King James Bible Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.
Daniel prophet did not deny this, nor he spoke against what they did to him!

Jacob (A.S) bowing down to Esau 7 times when he returned home!
There are many more.
This type of worship have some common things:
1- Not everyone participate in such worship
2- No prayers or amen is recited
3- No reading from the scriptures recited
4- Not consistent and never existed throughout
5- such worship occurred during arrivals and departures, surely it is a greeting and reverence .
6- Jesus was never placed in the centre or high chair and worshipped with chanting of the scriptures
7- It is Jewish accusation that Jesus made himself equal to God which he himself denies!
Because first he was answering them quoting Psalm in John 10:34-35 so when they refused his explanation of the meaning of son of God he is giving to himself, then they invent lie against him and said he claimed himself equal to God, one who read John's Gospel in whole context can understand that later on Jesus says father is greater than I , and father is greater than all (John 10:29, 14:28, 20:17) and only God is The Father (John 17:3)

And Jesus further calls those who lie about him as sons of devil and father of lies (John 8:40-47) . So it is Jewish lie that Jesus claimed he is God.

And we reject the Jewish lie about Messiah and we say, he is not God , but a Prophet and High Priest of God, which is Islamic confession too who Jesus is (also in Hebrews 3:1)

So if we are looking into scriptures with whole context, we cannot omit those verses that say Only God is God the Father and Jesus is servant and High priest of God forever ....and a full picture and whole context shall lead us to believe the message I am giving.

But if we ignore this verses that says Jesus is servant of God (Acts 3:13,4:27) and High Priest (Hebrews), and Only God is the Father (John 17:3) and Father is Greater than Jesus and all (John 10:29, 14:28, 20:17, and go for only the verses in John 1 and 2 Peter 1:1, we can make our own doctrines , and each group have their own doctrine about God and Jesus Christ!

So I believe in what I understood who Jesus was , who he is and who he will be ( Luke 1:33, Hebrews 13:8) when come back (son of Man) who will establish Law of God and his teaching (John 4:23, Zechariah 14:9)
And you believe and accept Jesus according to what you have learned and understood who Jesus is . And as we have two different understanding, I believe that my understanding will be the knowledge and understanding of the future. And I am open to discussions . But it cannot be one sided . I want a research level engagement on this matter, God, Trinity and Deity of Christ .

Unfortunately many Christian followers whom I attempted to discuss this topics have been angry and frustrated.. I understand everyone has strong allegiance to their religion and beliefs. but if you wish to discuss it in a high profile research level looking in to the said explanations then we need high level of optimism , passion, patience, tolerance and respect of each other.

*TRINITY AND DEITY OF CHRIST: LESSONS FROM JOHN 4:23-24 & 17:3* NASB Translations.

As our Christian friends encouraged me to read the Bible and seek truth , this are the facts that touched my heart.

Even to start a discussion on the whole context of the topic. We must begin from somewhere in the scriptures  where God and Worship is Discussed together.
That is best said in John:23-24

In *John 4:23-24* "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the *true worshipers will worship the Father* in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. *God* is spirit, and *those who worship Him must worship* in spirit and truth."

In this verses it is clearly discussed that God is the Father Alone and His worshippers are the true worshippers . And they worhsip him in spirit (in His Essence only in no idols) and truth (According to His Law and Commandment).

True worship means , the ritual deity worship of the God of Iarael alone that involve prayers and rites according to the Law and traditions of the Prophets.  Other type of worship are revrences that is written as worship,  which is given to prophets and high priests inconsistently and not as Deity.

*John 17:3* This is eternal life, that, they may know *You, the only true God,* and Jesus Christ whom *You have sent*.

This three statement clearly describe Jesus is an apostle of God and Only true God is God the Father and Only True worshipers are His Worhdippers . Because He Alone is True God (see *1 Timothy 1:17 & 6:16* ).

So for Jesus to be seen as the Deity God, you must prove that Jesus is God the Father .

Usually Christian scholarship at this instance quote *John10:30 "I and Father are One"*

But the problem is quoting this verses without looking for the whole context and whole picture.

Even they just ignore the verse just before John 10:30 , which is John 10:29

*John 10:29* "My *Father,* who has given them to Me, *is greater than all*; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

Christ says that Father is Gretar than All. So there is  a clear context for the saying in John 10:30.

John 10:30 is not a statement of the oneness of the Person or Essence.  But Oneness of relationship.  Christ himself gives us that context later in John 17:21

*John 17:21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You,* that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

*John 17:23 I in them and You in Me--that they may be perfectly united*, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.

Christian scholarship take a U turn in this points and say, Jesus left some of his glory and  take up human life to die for our sin . But He is All powerful mighty God in Heavens.

But this is again just an opinion with no sound basis in the scriptures.

Because it is said:
*John 20:17* Jesus said to her, "Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I ascend to My Father and your Father, and *My God* and your God.'"

If we have to accept that theory of jesus Leaving glory  in this world and taking glory back in the heavens.  Then we should have to believe Jesus is a demi God and he also have a superior God whom he prayed to,  and now he is ascending to.

*John 14:28,* "You heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because  *I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.*

John  14:28 again questions this theory,  if A coequal and co eternal Deity existed in the heaven , then at this point jesus would have said , Father is equal to me.

But hear he clarifies the full context of his message and refuted the misquote of john 10:30 and the false Jewish accusations which is used to claim that jesus claimed he is God.

So the answers Jesus (Peace be upon him) giving to the Jews in John 10:34-37 is again uphold in the next chapters and verses and prove that Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) did not see himself as God and he reject Jewish accusations that say he made himself equal to God.

But unfortunately our Christian scholarship use that verses to say Jesus is really the deity God and while ignoring this progressive Revelation and whole picture and whole context.

Again after all this , the disciples and apostles writing letters and a couple of words here and there that say Jesus is God,  only to be understood according to Psalm 82:6-7. Because in the books of the same ministry of the apostles it is said  that Jesus sit right and of God's throne and He is high priest of God forever and he is a servant of God .

So if we are really saying we look for whole context,  then our explanation must accommodate those verses to make a correct interpretation of the Bible or who jesus is. If we keep those verses out from our interpretation then we can define Jesus as God or As a angel Michael, as Jw org describe jesus to be!

So true worship had to be to the God Alone (John 4:23-24, 17:3, 1 Timothy 1:17 etc) and if we worship Jesus as deity,  then I am afraid that we become vain worshippers (Mark 7:7-9, Matthew 15:9) and law breakers (Mathew 7:23-25).

So I prefer to be a true worshipper and I am convinced that Islam is perfectly guiding me to be a true worshipper and even warning me not to worship my own desires /ego (Quran  25:43 and 45:23) and guide to worship God in His perfect Oneness as the Prophets of Israel had done.

BIBLE SAYS 'JESUS IS GOD' , HOW DO WE, TRADITIONAL MUSLIMS UNDERSTAND IT?
In the Biblical language, which is highly patronised to Greek expressions and philosophy in theology used the word "God" for Messiah and for the previous Prophets and High Priest (Imams) of Israel.
However, after exploring it spiritually, I understand that Christian theologians and scholars interpret more literally than metaphorically or contextually .
Christians refer to John 1:18 and 2 Peter 1:1 to prove Jesus is God and there is only One God!
John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only *Son, who is himself God* and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. *He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.*
2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of *our God and Savior Jesus Christ* have received a faith as precious as ours:
The Word "Son" is a Greek glossary for the High Priest of God , as we see the direct evidence from Hebrews 5:5 Which prove that the meaning of becoming son of God is becoming high priest!
The verses in John 1:18 and 2 Peter 1:1 should be seen with the whole context of the Bible. This are not the words of Christ (Peace be upon him()
Because Christ says:
John 15:15 for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
Especially when Christ himself declares Only true God is God the Father. (See John 17:3)
John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
And Christ (Peace be upon him) warns about following human traditions as God's Words (Mark 7:7-9 and Matthew 15:9)
We should use Christ's words and the previous scriptures to understand the actual meaning of the words in 2 Peter 1:1 and John 1:18.
So if we accept the Bible in it's entire context and broad visualisation . We can see that if the Only True God is the Father Alone , then the verses in question (2 Peter 1:1 and John 1:18) could only be interpreted according to what Jesus Christ said in John 10:33-35 and John 17:3 & Psalm 82:6-7
*John 10:34-35* Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are "gods"'? If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came--and Scripture cannot be set aside--
Psalm 82:6-7 "I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High But *you will die like mere mortals* ; you will fall like every other ruler."
One of the nature of this gods (Prophets and high priests) is that they taste death like everyone else! Christians believe Jesus died on the Cross and Muslims believe Jesus will die after he have ruled in his kingdom in the second coming!
So now let's say something more about the books of Apostles!
In Colossians 2:8 Paul says one must take Christs words as words to distinguish truth from falsehood!

In Quran 5:35 it says that the People of the Gospel should judge by what Allah has revealed in it!. That is the revelations Jesus Christ had received and taught his disciples! (see John 15:15)
If we look at the the whole context of the New Testament we can see that the disciples did not proclaim Jesus as the Almighty God, the God of Prophets!
In Quran 5:35 it says that the People of the Gospel should judge by what Allah has revealed in it!. That is the revelations Jesus Christ had received and taught his disciples! (see John 15:15)
The authors of New Testament wrote John 1:18 and 2 Peter 1:1 in the context of Psalm 82:6-7
The reason for this observation is because:
In 1 Timothy 1:17 it is said the Only God is the Unseen One Who Never dies !
So in Biblical Language Christ is God as in Psalm 82:6-7.
1 Timothy 1:17 NLT All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.
Furthermore Jesus Christ is described as Servant of God in the Books of Apostles (Acts 3:13, and 4:27)and High Priest of God (Hebrews 3:1, 5:5 and 6:20)
And there is no consistent ritual worship given to Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) as God the Deity in the New Testament . Neither while he was alive on the earth nor in thus ministry of the disciples that lasted for so many decades!
And there is no consistent ritual worship given to Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) as God the Deity in the New Testament . Neither while he was alive on the earth nor in thus ministry of the disciples that lasted for so many decades! (John 17:3 ) and Only God is the Unseen One Who Never dies (1 Timothy 1:17) So if we take such a stand that means our belief is not based on the whole context or the big data analytics of the New Testament!
So when all the verses are taken to understand who Christ is, then we can see the exact mapping of descending pattern of those verses fully aligned with the words in John 17:3, John 10:34-35, 1 Timothy 1:17, Acts 3:!3, Acts 4:27 etc!
And not once Christ was worshipped as deity by the disciples or their followers!
So either we have to ignore John 17:3 and 1 Timothy 1:17 and numerous other verses and say Jesus is Deity, or we end up making two Gods!
1-The Only One True God Who The Father Only (John 17:3) and Who Never dies (1 Timothy 1:17)
2- The second true God who is not the Father and Who dies and who is a High priest of the Father forever and who is a Servant of the Father and Apostle of the Father (Hebrews 3:1, 5:5)
I Think it is only a matter of a few more years for the Christian scholarship to address this issue and understand the true belief (see John 17:3 & Hebrews 3:1.
Below are the Bible Verses Which Missionaries Ignore While declaring that Jesus is the Almighty God (Co-Equal Co-Eternal in Glory,Wisdom and Power)
  • John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks.
  • John 5:30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me
  • John 10:29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.
  • John 14:28 "You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
  • John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you
If Jesus was fully God and had equal wisdom of God Almighty, then it is inappropriate that God Almighty Jesus and followers to have equal knowledge of everything!
  • John 17:3 NLT And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.Exact Tauheed verse in the New Testament: La Ilaha illa Allah Eesa Rasool Allah. Also see Quran 2:285
  • John 17:22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one--

This verses directly refute the Christian doctrine: Jesus and Father are equal in glory and power! Had Jesus been God, then He would not have given his disciples the glory he had from the Father. John 17:22 also refute the misinterpretation of John 10:30 (I and Father are One). Because the disciples are also in that oneness, so definitely it is not the oneness of deity, but oneness of relationship in faith!.

This verse again testifies that Jesus is not the Almighty God!. Because Almighty Does not Share His Glory to another!

Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols!.
Isaiah 48:11 For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another.
  • Mark 7:7-8 .They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’ You have disregarded the commandment of God to keep the tradition of men.”
  • Mark 13:32 "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

This verse prove that the knowledge of Christ and Holy Spirit not equal to the Knowledge of the True God!
  • Acts 3:13 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus.
  • Acts 4:27 Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.
  • Acts 4:30 Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."
In the Book of Acts ,Christ is called Servant of God and Mediator (Intercessor) for his disciples.. If the Apostles of Acts ever seen Jesus as God, then they would not have called him "Holy Servant of God"
  • Hebrews 2:9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor
  • Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.

Exact Islamic confession of Christ in Hebrews 3:1 also in John 17:3 all Muslims Believe Christ is an Apostle of Almighty. If Jesus was fully God in the heavens then they would not have written that Jesus is a high priest to God!
  • Hebrews 5:5 In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father."

This verses prove that Christ became a high priest (a mediator and intercessor for his nation) forever . Which is a servant hood to God forever. In the Biblical language to become "God's Son" is a jargon used to state "someone has become elect of God to become a high priest". See John 10:33-37 for clear context!
  • Hebrews 6:20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

Peace be upon the Prophets of Allah Almighty, Praise be to Allah the LORD of all creations.
